Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,330m)


You will arrive at Kathmandu International Airport, where our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel. You will have free time to rest, explore the streets, shops, and cafés of Kathmandu, and attend a trek briefing in the evening. There is no walking on this day, so distance is 0 km and elevation gain/loss is 0 m

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing


After breakfast, we will visit the famous Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, followed by Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most important Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You may also stroll around Thamel or Patan for souvenirs. The walking distance will be about 4–5 km, with minimal elevation change of approximately +50 m / -50 m.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla (2,860m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m)


  • We will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, which takes about 35 minutes and offers spectacular mountain views. From Lukla, we will trek along the Dudh Koshi River through pine forests and small Sherpa villages to Phakding. The distance is about 7–8 km, with approximately 3 hours of walking. Elevation gain is +50 m and elevation loss is -300 m. Overnight in a lodge in Phakding.

  • Cross suspension bridges 

Day 4: Phakding (2610m) - Namche (3440m)


  • Second day of walking, gradual ascent to Namche. Easy walk to Jorsale for trekking permit check, then descend to Botekoshi River. Crossing two suspension bridges and gradually climbing to Namche Bazar, about 6 to 7 hours of walking. Night in lodge.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar (3,440m) to Thame (3,820m)


  • We will walk through traditional Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests, and enjoy views of Kongde Peak and surrounding mountains. Arrival in Thame includes a visit to the local monastery. The trek distance is 8–9 km and will take around 5 hours, with an elevation gain of +500 m and a loss of -150 m. Overnight in a lodge in Thame

Day 6: Acclimatization Day: Sunder Ri Peak Excursion


  •        Walking Time: 6 hours round trip

    ·       Elevation Gain: +1,180 m | Elevation Loss: -1,180 m

    ·       Description: Hike up to the top of Sunder Ri for essential altitude practice. Enjoy your packed lunch while looking at amazing views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, and Ama Dablam. Walk back down to Thame to sleep.

     

Day 7: Thame to Lumde


·       Walking Time: 6 hours

·       Elevation Gain: +400 m | Elevation Loss: -50 m

·       Description: Walk up the scenic Bhote Koshi valley toward Tibet's ancient trade route. The trail passes small stone villages and open yak pastures. Arrive at the peaceful settlement of Lumde.

Day 8: Lumde to Gokyo Lakes via Renjo La Pass


• Walking Time: 8 hours • Elevation Gain: +1,130 m | Elevation Loss: -590 m • Description: Start very early to cross your first high pass, Renjo La. The top gives you one of the finest views of Mount Everest and the Ngozumpa Glacier. Walk down a rocky trail to the beautiful, blue Gokyo Lakes.

Day 9: Gokyo Ri Peak to Dragnak


·       Walking Time: 5 hours

·       Elevation Gain: +610 m | Elevation Loss: -660 m

·       Description: Climb up Gokyo Ri early in the morning for a spectacular mountain sunrise. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, cross the huge rock-and-ice glacier to reach the small village of Dragnak.

Day 10: Dragnak to Dzongla via Cho La Pass

·      Walking Time: 7 to 8 hours

·       Elevation Gain: +720 m | Elevation Loss: -580 m

·       Description: Wake up before dawn. Climb a steep, rocky path and walk across an icy glacier to cross the famous Cho La Pass. Carefully descend down a steep rock wall to reach your lodge in Dzongla.
