Kanchenjunga Trek.
Before 2010, it was a camping trek. Since a local tea house started popping up, trekking in Kanchenjunga can now be done without camping equipment. The nature of the trek is demanding, which requires a good level of fitness and prior trekking experience for this tour of about three weeks. Kanchenjunga trekking is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Nepal. This trek takes you to one of the highest massifs in the world, Mount Kanchenjunga. Kanchenjunga means "five treasures of the great snow" in the Tibetan language. This expression refers to the five peaks that make up the Kanchenjunga range.
The Kanchenjunga Trekking is an unspoiled hiking trail in eastern Nepal. It is a restricted trekking area where it is mandatory to walk with a local guide and at least two hikers. This rule, established by the Nepalese government, is strictly enforced. The trail to Kanchenjunga Base Camp is not very busy. This trek offers hikers a unique insight into the remote region of eastern Nepal. In addition, you will be able to experience the rural lifestyles of the area. Trekking in Kanchenjunga offers some of the most beautiful Himalayan scenery. You'll get the best views of Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Makalu, and Jahnu Himal. We'll also admire the towering peaks of Mount Rohtang and Mount Kabru, towering over a moraine on the border between Nepal and Sikkim.Throughout the route, we'll observe the regular changes in the landscape. This trek offers a diverse flora and fauna. As you drive through the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, you will be able to spot many wildlife and birds, such as pheasant, dragon, snow leopard, black bear, red panda, and many more. You will meet many ethnic groups, and will have the opportunity to discover their traditions, culture and way of life up close.
